Treatment of belt deviation of belt conveyor


Belt deviation is the most common fault when Belt Conveyor is running. In order to solve this kind of fault, it is important to pay attention to the dimensional accuracy of installation and daily maintenance. There are many reasons for deviation, which need to be dealt with according to different reasons.


1. Adjust the position of driving drum and reversing drum.

The adjustment of driving drum and direction changing drum is an important part of belt deviation adjustment. Because a belt conveyor has at least 2 to 5 rollers, the installation position of all rollers must be perpendicular to the center line of the length direction of the belt conveyor. If the deviation is too large, it will inevitably lead to deviation. The adjustment method is similar to the adjustment of idler group. For the head drum, if the belt runs to the right side of the drum, the bearing pedestal on the right side shall move forward, and if the belt runs to the left side of the drum, the bearing pedestal on the left side shall move forward, and correspondingly, the bearing pedestal on the left side can also move backward or the bearing pedestal on the right side. The adjustment method of the tail roller is just opposite to that of the head roller. Adjust repeatedly until the belt is in the ideal position. It is better to install the driving or reversing drum accurately before adjusting it.

Two way operation belt conveyor

The adjustment of deviation is much more difficult than the adjustment of the belt conveyor's deviation. The adjustment of the belt conveyor should first adjust a certain direction and then adjust the other direction. During the adjustment, carefully observe the relationship between the movement direction of the belt and the deviation trend, and adjust one by one. The emphasis should be placed on the adjustment of the driving drum and the reversing drum, followed by the adjustment of the idler and the adjustment of the material dropping point. At the same time, it should be noted that the force on the belt section length direction should be uniform when vulcanizing the joint, and the force on both sides should be as equal as possible when using the guide chain traction.

3. Adjustment of tightening points.

The adjustment of the belt tension is a very important part of the belt conveyor deviation adjustment. In addition to being perpendicular to the belt length direction, the two change direction rollers on the upper part of the heavy hammer tension shall also be perpendicular to the gravity vertical line, that is, to ensure that the axis center line is horizontal. When using screw tensioning or hydraulic cylinder tensioning, the two bearing blocks of the tensioning drum shall be translated at the same time to ensure that the axis of the drum is vertical to the longitudinal direction of the belt. The specific adjustment method of belt deviation is similar to that at the roller.

IV. The Influence of the blanking position at the transfer point on the belt deviation

The dropping position of the material at the transfer point has a great influence on the deviation of the belt, especially when the two Belt Conveyors project vertically on the horizontal plane. Generally, the relative height of the upper and lower belt conveyors at the transfer point should be considered. The lower the relative height is, the greater the horizontal velocity component of the material is, the greater the lateral impact on the lower belt is, and it is difficult to center the material. The material on the cross section of the belt is deflected, which eventually leads to belt deviation. If the material deviates to the right, the belt will run to the left and vice versa. In the design process, the relative height of the two belt conveyors should be increased as much as possible. The form and size of the upper and lower funnels, guide chutes and other parts of the mobile bulk transport machinery limited by space should be considered seriously. Generally, the width of the guide chute should be about two-thirds of the belt width. In order to reduce or avoid belt deviation, the baffle plate can be added to block the material and change the falling direction and position of the material.

V. adjustment of carrier roller group

When the belt of the belt conveyor deviates in the middle of the whole belt conveyor, the position of the supporting roller group can be adjusted to adjust the deviation; when manufacturing, the mounting holes on both sides of the supporting roller group are processed with long holes for adjustment. The specific method is that which side of the belt is biased, which side of the idler group moves forward towards the belt direction, or the other side moves backward. If the belt deviates in the upward direction, the lower position of the idler group shall move to the left, and the upper position of the idler group shall move to the right.

6. Install the centering idler set.

There are many types of centering idler group, such as intermediate shaft type, four-bar type, vertical roller type, etc. its principle is to use the blocking or idler to rotate in the horizontal direction to block or generate lateral thrust to make the belt automatically centripetal to achieve the purpose of adjusting the belt deviation. Generally, this method is more reasonable when the total length of the belt conveyor is short or when the belt conveyor operates in two directions, because the shorter belt conveyor is easier to deviate and is not easy to adjust. The long belt conveyor is better not to use this method, because the use of the self-aligning idler group will have a certain impact on the service life of the belt.
